If you are visiting the U.S. mainly as a tourist, but wish to take some classes, you do not need a student visa unless you will be in class for more than 18 hours a week. If your program of study is more intensive, a student visa will be required.

In addition, you will be asked to produce documents including your passport, a photo, your academic transcripts, standardized test score, and evidence that you will be able to support yourself financially while in the U.S.
